I really liked the welcoming vibe at the reception; Yusuf was very kind, professional, and exceptionally hospitable, which made my stay even more pleasant.

The location was convenient, close to public transport, which we liked.

I was disappointed with the food — it was very repetitive over seven days. There were no fruits or pastries, and the breakfast was very basic, especially for Turkey. Additionally, the bathroom was in poor condition, and the sound insulation in the room was very weak.

Staff were genuinely kind and helpful, especially the lady at reception.Room was small but well-equipped and cleaned daily.Breakfast was decent (with the tip to go early).Convenient location near public transport.

First room was noisy due to poor sound insulation.Could hear noise from neighboring rooms.Strong smell of cigarette smoke in the second room.Smoke odor also in the elevator and hammam.Overall ventilation and soundproofing need improvement.

Good location

Staff were EXTREMELY RUDE. One receptionist got an attitude because I booked our excursions privately 5 months in advance, and didn’t use them to book same day. Refused to call a taxi for us for this reason. Also $400 was stolen from our room once we had mentioned the safe wasn’t working and requested it to be fixed. I spilt wine on a towel. They said it was blood. Tried to make me pay $80 for the towelle, and a “stain “ on the sheet (this was my honey moon) I absolutely offered to pay for the towel. Forced us to pay $40 . Wouldn’t recommend this place.

In general i loved to be there, good atmosphere, clean, comfy, and friendly staff. We were happy to have breakfast included:)

Too thin walls, you hear everything around. One night i couldn’t sleep , as someone was using washing machine all night long. But probably most of hotels there have this issue, it’s just built this way.

The location is a few minutes walk to the metro and tram stations, the hotel is very clean and the staff is really cooperative especially Josef, who is always trying the best to help. A very nice guy.The value for money ist the best point in this hotel

The surrounding area is bad but it is normal to be so near Aksaray.

Since the very first second I felt like home in this beautiful hotel. I received the best hospitality from Yusuf and his colleague and the hotel management can be proud for having such fantastic staff. They very all the time very helpful and they were not only usual hotel workers but became friends to me during my stay. The room was very clean and cozy. There were only some sitting places and table missing in the room. Otherwise everything was perfect.

We stayed for 8 nights with a family of 2 adults and 4 children, Aug 2024 and we booked two rooms: Positive: I had Turkish bath and massage and it was good, I was charged 50 euros for one hour of massage and Turkish bath is free, the staff member who looked after me was very professional and gave me a lot of privacy, however it was very male dominated wash room, I was only female client and it is all mix, I was fortunate enough to go when is was very quiet and the lady who looked aftered me gave me a lot of care and dignity. the hotel is very close proximity to all transport link.

initially our booking was for triple rooms however we had requested at the time of the booking (Feb 20204) if the rooms can be next to each other or same floor. we did get our rooms to be on the same floor but at the checking we were told it was really hard for the staff to arrange this. one room had a double bed a single bed and it had an awful stain on the single bed but the positive thing was everything worked, the TV, shower and air con. however the other room had a metal single bed which was broken, so one our child had to sleep in a U shape. TV didn't connect to wifi, the shower head as well as hand held shower was broken, there was not toilet paper holder either and the air con was temperamental and worked when it wanted to. the hot water on and off, so you either got very hot water or very cold water. the room was also quiet small for 1 adult and 2 children. we also kept on getting constant cigaret smell from the other guest rooms. there are no air con in the hall way and there is only one lift so if you are waiting for a lift you will get hot. the breakfast was not to our taste, it was traditional Turkish cold maze, which we could handle for lunch but for breakfast it was a bit too heavy on the stomach and the coffee machine did not work during our entire stay. the cereals provided were stale and after two visit out of eight nights we didn't have breakfast. The reception staff was polite and could speak good English.we would not stay again in this hotel or any other hotel in this district, even though it is value for money the area was far too busy for our liking. word of advise do not take yellow taxi, they kept on trying to scam us, we found Uber was the best thing to use.

It was a nice stay thanks to your hotel, it has a very convenient location near a wide variety of public transportation, the room was clean so was the bathroom it has a nice view, and very friendly staff and the reception was very friendly and helpful, breakfast was good and varied overall we had a positive experience in Mays Royal, and I highly recommend the hotel, Spisal thanks to Mr Erol for his hospitality.

Actually I had nothing to add to this section, only the sound isolation sometimes I heard voices for the next room I don't know for sure was it an isolation issue or the people in the next room were too noisy ?.

The room was clean, excellent but som kind small. The view is not amaizing to the near old building. The bathroom is very clean and the shower is great but the shower place is a little bit small and narrow but doesn't matter. The bed is big, clean. Mr. Aron Is very kind and professional and deal like a leader not a boss; he put his hand with his staff in the food lounge. Also, Miss Shouroq is great, she can talk four languages fluently, and she helped me in many things quickly. Many Thanks to Mr. Hamza who always provide his assistance and you can find him everywhere. The location is 10/10; it is near the city center where you can find every thing.

At the food lounge, not always you can find fresh cold water to drink, but the food is fantastic. you can ask for Turkish tea or coffee, in addition to nescafe machine. The air-conditioner is above the wardrobe, so it take alot to colding the room.

Our stay at the Mays Hotel was fantastic! The staff (especially Erol <3) were helpful, kind and recommended the best ways to spend your time in Istambul. Breakfasts were diverse, tasty and regional - a great plus. I had a chance to try hammam ritual and a massage --> a great experience!!! The rooms are cleaned and towels are exchanged every day, the hotel is clean, quiet and the AC works very well. Would stay there again for sure!!!
